Question Generation Function from a Statement

This function allows you to create a set of questions from a statement using ChatGPT.

The quantity and type of questions generated may vary over time as ExperQuiz evolves this feature.

This feature is available in the menu Base, then, within a base, select the section "Question Generation."

Formulating a Statement

The statement defines a topic on which ChatGPT will create its questions. Thus, to obtain questions about Antarctica, you can simply provide the statement 'Antarctica'.

Note that phrasings like 'The topic will be Antarctica' will not contribute to generation and may even diminish its quality. Once the statement is entered, simply press the 'Generate' button and wait for the questions to arrive.

There may be periods of high demand on the OpenAI service that can lead to significant delays or even failures in generation.

From this statement, ChatGPT will produce questions related to topics such as expeditions to Antarctica, the Antarctic Treaty, temperatures on the continent, wildlife, etc.

You will then be able to add these questions to your base in draft or active state, or delete them.

Human Validation of Questions

The questions generated will be the result of ChatGPT; ExperQuiz is not responsible for the quality of these questions. It is imperative to verify that the proposed questions and answers are relevant and correct before including them in your questionnaires.

It is always possible to modify the automatically generated questions once they have been transformed into questions to correct any imperfections.

ChatGPT is likely to be less relevant on topics for which the data has not been part of its training bases, notably:

  • Recent current events, as the training bases are time-limited
  • Or topics inaccessible to the general public.

Refining Question Generation

Whether for the reasons mentioned above or simply to obtain questions that are closer to what you wish, the solution lies in the statement. You need to provide a more precise statement to improve generation.

To take the example of the statement 'Antarctica', if you actually desired questions focused on the flora of Antarctica, you could re-specify it as follows: 'Flora of Antarctica'.

ChatGPT only receives the statement necessary for generation: no data regarding your company or yourself is used by ChatGPT. The previous statements are also not utilized by ChatGPT, meaning each statement must be sufficient in itself to generate the questions you want.
